English need to study by the students at the university level because it will skilled them for their future. This study attempts to know what kinds of motivation had by the students in studying English at STIKES Cendekia Utama Kudus. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. JKM (Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat) Cendekia Utama has been accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education in the periods 2018-2022. It is accredited in Sinta-4 since 2018 (No. 28/E/KPT/2019, Vol.6 No.1 2018 - Vol.10 No.1 2022) .
